This is the Clarke County Rifle and Pistol Club.

This range is meant for use by Members only.
The CCR&PC is a private range leased, operated, and maintained
by the CCR&PC and their families.

Memberships are expressly intended for the use of the holder and their immediate family only.

All information about acts of Vandalism or suspicious shooters should be reported to the Range President along with the license plate numbers and a vehicle description.  [Rick McDowell at 641-342-2011.]  This information will be passed along to Law Enforcement as needed.

Vandalism will entail immediate revocation of range privileges and expulsion from the club. Reimbursement for damages and criminal charges may be pressed.

Unsafe gun handling will entail immediate revocation of range privileges and possible expulsion from the club.
Members of Law enforcement are welcome, and encouraged to use this range for Qualifying and Training with prior authorization. Personal use is discouraged without membership.

Read all Range rules before using this range.

• Use of this range requires NRA membership.
• Gun handling and Alcohol do not mix
• Do Not bring any illegal substance into the range.
• Do Not Shoot over the berms. [Dirt embankments]
• Do Not Shoot any buildings or range props
• Do Not Shoot any steel targets with a rifle of any kind.
• Paper and clay targets are preferred targets. If any other targets are brought in to the range it is your responsibility to dispose of them.
• Throw away targets after use, as well as any spent brass and ammunition containers or trash.
• Place all Target stands and Steel targets off the range after use.
• All rounds fired into shooting bays must fall within the confines of the lowest portion of the berms.
• The sight-in bench on the pistol bay is for Pistol use and can be used for Rifle sight in however, general Rifle use must be continued on the Rifle range.
• High Power Rifle should not be used on the smaller shooting bays.
• Do not continuously shoot into the same point on the berm, it prematurely deteriorates the berms.

Think safety at all times.

• Do not point your firearm at anything you do not intend to shoot.
• Keep your firearm pointed down range at all times.
• Shoot into the berms, Do not shoot toward the ground since bullets can skip off gravel, rock, or other debris.
• Be conscious of where you are shooting and what you are shooting at.
• Be courteous to other shooters.

All firearms should be in one of the following conditions when not in use:

• Unloaded and slide locked back .
• Unloaded and cylinder open.
• Unloaded and bolt open.
• Unloaded in a Holster or in a case when not in use.
• Never leave your firearm loaded while not in use or unattended.
