Former New York
City police officer Daniel Rodriguez has experienced a meteoric rise to
fame. On September 11, 2001, he rendered a capella performances of “God
Bless America” and the National Anthem that proved far greater than a
patriotic gesture. Ringing, heartfelt and beautiful, his performance stirred
the hearts of the entire nation. Since then he has performed at venues
ranging from 2002 Winter Olympics to Disneyland to the White House. |

A cast of 11
sing, dance and recreate magical movie memories of Gene Kelly, Julie
Andrews, Judy Garland and more. The talented Music Director/Accompanist
serves as host. From Singin’ in the Rain and The Wizard of Oz, they
fast-forward to today’s contemporary movie musicals. An array of colorful
sets and costumes sparkle around innovative musical arrangements and
choreography as the auditorium comes alive with the sound of movie music. |

Dubbed “Canada’s
National Treasure,” the Canadian Tenors charm audiences with their winning
blend and crowd-pleasing repertoire. Featuring a mix of music and sounds
from theatre, classical, operetta, and alternative world pop, this foursome
gloriously croons in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and
Maltese. With consistent standing ovations, the Canadian Tenors are giving
pop-opera a new, fresh definition. |
Hunt
Family FiddlersSunday, March 28, 2010 - 2:00 P.M.
This family of
nine Irish step dancers, fiddlers and singers marvel crowds everywhere! They
perform Celtic, bluegrass, inspirational and popular tunes and offer a blend
of diversity to every show. The Hunt Family Fiddlers performed for Queen
Elizabeth during her visit to the U.S. in 2007. They will amaze you with
their high-class performance and capture your heart with their charm! |
NubeTuesday, April 20, 2010 - 7:00 P.M.
Nube (cloud in
Spanish) is an eclectic ensemble that exquisitely blends Contemporary Latin
American and World Music. Their soulful and relaxing music evokes the warmth
of a South American ambience. This intimate ensemble has captivated the
hearts of their listeners throughout the upper Midwest. These musicians
engage audiences in a genuine and thoughtful manner, connecting with their
public via on-stage personal exchanges. |
The Marshalltown Community Concert Association (MCCA) of Marshalltown, IA, an all-volunteer non-profit organization, sponsors five concerts this year featuring national and international performers. For 70 years, the association has brought high quality concerts to the Marshalltown Community.
These concerts are performed at the Marshalltown High School/Community
Auditorium, 1602 S. Second Avenue (parking lot and auditorium on northeast side

In addition to these six concerts we have reciprocity agreements with our sister Community Concert Associations in Newton, and Waterloo whereby our subscription fee will enable members to attend the concerts in these other cities at no additional cost.
